Coordinator of Architectural Review, Special Projects Manager

  • Coordinate architectural applications for the HOA Landscape Review Committee

  • Screening proposed new projects, initial review of upcoming plans, and working with residents through the review process and project development phases after Committee approval

  • Site inspections and general oversight of construction processes

  • Enforcement of the Association CC&Rs

Special Projects Lead with the Federal Bureau of Land Management

  • Interact with Federal authorities to create manageable fire breaks for the subdivision – ongoing grant currently renewed for 2017

  • Work as Liaison with Fire Department and resident owners to coordinate ongoing brush and fuel management within the Community


Construction of New Security Control Points - Manned and Automated

  • Provided original five-million-dollar cost estimate to HOA Board for

  1. Restoration of Security Gates 1 through 6, both manned and automated

  2. Addition of deceleration lanes for gates, north and south bound

  3. Relocation of all utilities to facilitate road widening

  • Provided supervision for completion of all construction of security gates improvements.

Management of Water Restriction Mandates for Community

  • Currently working directly with residents to limit landscape water usage to meet water reduction targets mandated by water authorities

  • Facilitating transition to drought tolerant plantings, both residential and Association open spaces

May 2007 – August 2009

Westminster Financial - Real Estate Investment Coordinator

  • Acquisition, risk assessment, restoration, and resale of distressed properties in target areas of Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Diego counties

  • Provided design and permits to meet municipal code requirements

  • Retained sub-contractors and skilled trades to complete projects on time and in budget

  • Provided general construction oversight for up to 30 projects simultaneously, acting as transaction coordinator on difficult projects, resale

  • Oversight of construction and permitting of new mixed-use corporate headquarters, 4th Avenue, San Diego

  • Competitively bid, negotiated, and completed projects for Davidson Communities, Concordia Homes, Lennar, DR Horton, Museum of Contemporary Art, and Midtown Niki Group, and others

  • Required management/coordination of multiple crews, including scheduling at various sites

  • Completed restoration/landscape installations at three Designer Showcase homes, benefiting the San Diego Historical Society
